It serves as a gateway between the two, especially considering its transportation infrastructure, including the Port of Acajutla on the Pacific Ocean, and the International Airport of El Salvador, which is one of the busiest in Central America.
2. Access to Markets: Its proximity to North America provides it with easier access to U.S. markets, especially compared to South American countries. The same applies to Central and other North American markets.
3. Pacific Ocean Access: Having a coastline along the Pacific Ocean makes El Salvador a strategic location for maritime trade and transportation. The Port of Acajutla is the main port, offering good maritime connections.
